FFXIV will give you a sound effect and then a countdown when a queue has filled up so you can take the controller in other rooms while you're waiting and then just press left and x to get into a duty.

In Rogue Legacy, the light changes depending on what class you are.
In Far Cry 4, the light changes depending on your health.

Killzone Shadowfall has it show your health more accurately than the jam on the screen can. Red jam on the screen means it's around yellow-red so around three shots left whereas you can tell exactly how many more shots you can take looking at the light because if it's red you die in one shot.

SRW Moon Dwellers uses it to indicate whose turn it is:
Blue - Yours
Red - Enemy faction 1
Yellow - Enemy Faction 2
Green - Suicidal Ally NPCs

The Last of Us used it whenever you turned the flashlight on or off, which was neat despite how simple a feature it is. I'm trying to remember more.

Also, I spent years without knowing that the XBone controller has a rumble function on its triggers. The only game I've ever seen use it was ReCore, I was incredibly surprised when it happened.
