Man I wish they had just let the series die after KH2 instead of keeping it alive by pumping out garbage on every handheld under the sun expecting fans to buy handhelds. I just love jumping the air and casting gravity quickly on enemies and slapping them around with Sora's cool abilities in 1. Magic was so god-tier in that game.

KH2 made it so smooth and quick and pretty much perfected it. Making his hits have a ton of weight, cool attacks, cool abilities to play around with. All seamless. I don't know how they did it, but I wish Action RPGs would copy it.

KH2FM is the pinnacle of action rpg combat for me. It's damn near perfect. Attacking with the keyblade feels good, controls are tight and responsive, most of the summons/drives/magic has utility, and it's rarely cheap. Just like you said, the only way to play the game is on critical. Whether level 1 or not, it's just a superb game to play, and if kh3 is anywhere near as good as kh2fm, I can die happy.

Another thing I love about kh2 is how you can fuck with things and mod it. Randomizer runs, Wisdom only runs, things like that.
