Been playing my vita all week and having tons of fun. Probably have 50+ games just from ps+alone. Just finished dracula x sotn and rondo. Bought the god of wars the other day to finish them again since i did on psp. They look real nice on the oled. Was thinking of getting a Tounkaki game since it looks like monster hunter.

Correction, the console versions were. The versions people actually give a rat's ass about. Nobody cares about the handheld versions done by B teams.

Waste of a buy unless you like JRPG's and Visual Novels. Or if you wanna play PS4 on the go. But, other than that, great console.

I'd recommend RE Revelations 2 since its perfect as a portable game, but unless you hack it and overclock the cpu and gpu the game gets really choppy at times.

I wouldn't call them universally praised. They have solid reviews (except AC Liberation), but nobody ever talks about them, since they're not very memorable. Killzone Mercenaries plays pretty poorly IMO, and Uncharted Golden Abyss isn't nearly as good as the real ones. Even if they were good, it would still be a pretty poor selection of good first party games.

I just finished setting up ARK-2 for a ePSP piracy and homebrew.
Can't wait to replay Patapon and then play some GBA and Genesis games with that glorious Vita D-Pad.

Soul sacrifice had a cool setting but I played a few enemies and i didnt think the just warping to a little island to kill 5 of X mob would sustain my interest. I liked the book and the gory horror setting and magic and the art style though.

It would be great if it had more westernfirst party support, but it's still a neat little machine with a fuck load of pretty good games, and with PS1/PSP classics and a massive selection of indie titles too, it's gotten quite a lot of use from me. Disappointing because there's so much wasted potential, but it's pretty good at keeping me from getting bored while I'm at work.
