What vidya are you playing now /v/. Help a brother figure out what to play next.
am thinking : I am setsuna, mgs: revengeance since I never beat that, or watch dogs 2 since I got it on the cheap.
surely /v/ still plays vidya...

Guilty Gear Revelator waiting for Rev2.
Also waiting for Tekken 7.
Digimon cyber sleuth. Its alright
finished Nier. need a CRUZZAYY game now to follow up.
Playing Morrowind at the moment. Don't think I'll ever get tired of playing this game.
>>377554843
Are you me? I just finished route A.
Are the other routes exactly the same as the first but with little differences, or are completely different things?
Also go for Nier Automata if you haven't yet
>>377554843
God Hand
>but I've played god hand!!!
Vanquish
I took a break from SMT4 Apocalypse and now I'm trying to convince myself to finish it.
Help
>>377555182
but for both of those I gotta set up ye old emulator... that's alot of work anon.
that said I will play vanquish when the re-release happens.
>>377555148
Route B is a shittier Route A in terms of gameplay, but has better feels.
Route C is where the real juice is at and you should try to push through route B.
Just started Tyranny, it's kinda weak if you're looking too hard for strategic depth but the story moves at a great pace and it's characters feel like something bioware would have put out 15 years ago. ( and now I feel old)
>>377553721
UplinkOS, Kerbal Space Program, OpenXcom.
Yes I have autism.
>>377555754
>oh no, I must spend ten minutes configuring pcsx2 in order to play the greatest 3d action game ever made (period), that is too much to ask for!
>>377555839
Oh so is exactly like automata then.
Thanks anon.
Actually on the same boat youre anon, finished Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z friday and hadnt start a new one, those are my options
>Child of Light
>Flow
>Silent Hill Downpour
>Destiny
>Deadly Premonition
>Resident Evil 0 HD
>Castle Crashers
>Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number
I think I will go with Child of Light, makes months now that its on my backlog and looks short enough for me to beat on a lazy sunday
>>377553976
You should play revengeance, you can beat it in one sitting and not even realized it because the ride is that good
>>377554843
Asura Wrath will fill your CRUZZAYY needs if you dont mind the style of the game
>>377556010
they finally got god hand working on emulators? wasn't that game plagued by issues in the past? fuck yes.
>>377556257
castle crashers is kinda meh if you don't couch co-op it. go hotline or child of light.
>>377555850
funny that out of all the CRPG's to come out this turned out better than numenera, divinity, or the shadowruns.
>>377556832
Yeah I was expecting that on castle crashers, I think I will let it for last, for when I have a opportunity to play it with my friends or gfhaha

This and Blazblue: Centralfiction
>>377553721
>akiba's trip undead & undressed
you roam akihabara and take people's clothes off. it's pretty fun desu!
>>377557318
just go to leddit or post here to find some other NEETS to play with anon. be the change.
I'm playing Dragon ball fusions, the game is pretty damn good.
Yakuza 0
>>377553721
Replaying the half life 2 saga, after that thinking of playing Black Mesa.
Apart from that, SMT4: Apocalypse, Dota 2 and Persona 5.
>>377553721
Age of Empires II HD
The expansion civs are fun
>>377557883
>SMT4: Apocalypse
wait is that a sequel to SMT4? a spinoff? How the hell did I miss this release.
>>377553721
>Tfw you have the big breasts mod
Feels good man
>>377553721
Playing Azure Striker Gunvolt.
How do I stop being so fucking trash at this game.
>>377558063
I believe it's a sequel
>>377557778
never played any of the yakuzas. what are they like?
>>377558063
It's a sequel to the neutral route. Am pretty happy with it though, I'm about 40 hours in and at the final dungeon.
I got the chaos and law ending and just youtubed the neutral ending, it's really bad but SMT4:A adds way more to it.
>>377556153
Not that anon, but I think he thought that you meant Automata. In the original Nier, route B is ~60% into the game, where you get a lot of backstory. Go for that.
Route C and D are only different in the end. I played through it, but if you don't feel for it, just watch it on ytI'd play itAlso, if you meant automata, I'm retarded
>>377558681
perhaps someday we'll get a non handheld smt launch. someday...
I started Prey but it's kinda on hold, or rather I'm just play it for short periods, like maybe 30 mins to 1 hour a day only
I rather browse /v/ for whatever goddamn reason
>>377558971
I started with SMT4 and the Persona series, now gone back and played SMT1, 3, Soul Hackers, and Strange Journey to completion.
Honestly strange journey is my favourite so far. 1 was ok and 3 felt ridiculously hard at some times. It did teach me the benefits of buffing/ debuffing though.
>>377558086
W-what?
>>377559094
Prey was good. 80% of it is solid til you get to the end and it loses the threat challenge.
Early game Prey is pretty solid / intense.
>>377558086
Q-que?
>>377558086
N-nani?
>>377553721
>>377554843
Try out riff racer it's 10 bucks and it's one of those games where you play on a track generated based on whatever mp3 you feed it kind of like audiosurf
>why not just play audio surf?
Because this game has better game play imo. Feels more like playing a game set to your music than playing minigames on a jukebox. You race a car to keep in synch with the beat and get points for jumps, collectables and pulling off sick drifts.
The difficulty is seemingly untied to song intensity as well. I was racing to Dean Martin and it was rated at a 4 star difficulty. Obviously great for living out your initial D fantasies as well.

>>377558063
does it fix SMT4? for whatever reason I lost all interest in that game mid way through once your in tokyo proper. it just got boring.
>>377559292
>>377559443
>>377559586
Put this inside the entities folder instead of the original "player1_armor_body"
Enjoy the boobs jingling with sick beats.
>>377558086
T-tahw?
>>377559676
Does it work for the new armours as well?
prey
I think I figured out why I didn't enjoy vidya anymore, I forgot about sinlge player games
>>377560001
Probably not sadly.
>>377559676
never change /v/. never change.
>>377560018
at some point anon we all grow out of the hyper competitive games and settle down to comfy single players.
Welcome to your comfy future.
>>377553721
Well what have you got done playing and what are you looking for?
I've been on and off playing MAME games, Max Payne 3, Payday 2, and system shock 2
>>377559643
Man those games are shit.
Just play Wipeout/F-zero, and if you've already played those, try Redout.

>>377553721
you can play Rising Storm 2, the beta is onpen right now,and you can play it with me if you want
also vanilla Mount & Blade is free in GoG
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth with Afterbirth DLC.
Not sure if I should get Afterbirth+...
>>377559643
>Obviously great for living out your initial D fantasies as well.
I'm gonna have to check this out, that's exactly what I want in a game
>>377560018
>I think I figured out why I didn't enjoy vidya anymore, I forgot about sinlge player games
Single player games are infinitely better, I have so much more fun with them. Multiplayer games are only good with friends.
>>377560228
last five games finished are: ffxv, prey, nier, persona 5, botw.
played andromeda but lost interest fast.
was thinking Horizon, but am pretty open to anything. got access to most stuff.
definitely thinking mainly single player stuff. open to genre / game type.
>>377560369
sell me on rising storm. don't know shit about it.
>>377553721
BS-Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets.
>>377560779
Did region locked make you do this? Saw this on there, and it looked very interesting. I wish game devs did more cool shit like this often, but it was probably a different time back then
>>377560509
I mean I'll just throw some random ones out then without any thought whatsoever
Max Payne 1-3 are all fantastic for third person shooting
Painkiller Black Edition is a great fps game
Sam & Max Hit The Road or Day of The Tentacle if you want point and click
Sonic All Stars Transformed is a racing that quite frankly doesn't deserve to be as great as it is
If you've never been into Rts games Age of Empires II is the best place to start imo. That or Warcraft 3. both have fantastic single player modes
and just for no reason if you have MAME installed play some Robotron 2084. If it weren't for Smash TV existing for co-op it'd be my favorite arcade game. Had a chance to play it on a Multi Williams machine at Pax Prime a few years back and it felt amazing to play.
>>377561174
sounds like you're on an "classics" kick atm. at that point toss in vampire masquerade or morrowind to end this man's free time.
>>377561381
Honestly I havn't been playing a whole lot of games recently just a few that I loved that came to mind. didn't wanna admit that i've been playing mostly Overwatch with friends and just Mame shit every now and then. just the first games that came to mind when I thought of specific genres
just bought witcher 3, put it off for long enough
any advice for me bros? i'm not very far in, currently visiting all the question markers before fighting griffin
>>377559676
re-installed necrodancer just to give this mod a go
>>377561632
take your time with it. if you get bored of a zone do the main story to advance and get more content. None of the side quests are miss-able if I recall.
there's alot of content in the sucker especially if you got the dlc's so don't be afraid to ignore some of the side stuff in favor of the main plots if you are short on time.
>>377561784
Can you post a webm of it in action?
>>377553721
does it annoy anyone else that this .gif is wrong?
Its Woop Woop, not Woop.
She should spin her fingers twice not once.
>>377561805
yeah i got the goty edition, do i need to do the dlcs before completing the main story at all?
>>377559676
>That Obsidian armor
>>377561837
Feel free to fix it and then circulate it.
>>377561914
Not at all. They're standalone. Think of them as super expanded side quests. you can do the dlc once you finish the main story as it takes you back to the overworld.
>>377560376
some argue afterbirth+ has better items.
Hollow knight motherfucker. play that shit.
>>377559676
Can anyone tell me if this work?
I may buy Necrodancer if it does.
>>377560909
some modders restored the BS Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets and BS Zelda 1 Snes remake.
Yakuza 0, this is my first Yakuza game and I'm having a ton of fun
Only in chapter 4 right now but at the moment I like Majima more than Kiryu desu
I'm wasting my time on Just Cause 3 free roam because the game is stuck at 97%
>>377563314
whats the gameplay like for the yakuza games. Haven't played any of them before.
>>377563385
Imagine a vaguely GTA style urban open world with wacky sidequests and minigames fucking everywhere, beat em up combat that plays kinda like a massively simplified fighter, and long melodramatic cutscenes for the main story
They're fun games
>>377563186
>>377561816
>>377564086
>>377564086
Bought at the speed of light.
Thanks man.
>>377564086
of all the ends to come out of this thread. this was the most unexpected one.
>>377564086
Dayum!
>>377564086
Excellent
I just pirated and played all the available episodes of Telltale's The Walking Dead. Don't bother with Season 3, it's shit.
>>377564734
the only good one is the borderlands one.
Yakuza Dead Souls. For all the crap it gets it's still pretty fun and has the typical Yakuza stuff. Yeah, it relies massively on you using the aim assist to kill anything, the story can't decide if it's serious or wacky, and the camera can be messy at times, but overall it's a fun game as expected.
>>377563385
It's basically a Japanese city simulator with tons of minigames and a fun beat 'em up with tons of stuff to do in general. Good characters, satisfying Heat attacks, and a massive city(ies) are the major part of every game.
>>377564970
and here I thought yakuza was all gritty mob stuff.
>>377565314
How?
Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl.
I can't play right now as I have the flu, and i'm only about 10 hours in, but I'm having a great time.
>>377554213
lol
why play vidya when you can shitpost about how much you hate vidya because you understand the mechanics and are unable to derive pleasure from anything beyond making children cry in multiplayer games
>>377565424
moded or as is. That series has been one of the older games i've been meaning to visit.
>>377565350
the game itself doesn't show up on most normie gaming communities so unless you seek it out most just go by the name of the game.
>>377565584
As is. I'm doing vanilla as my first run.
>>377564086
This is one of those legendary threads people will sing songs about.
>>377565314
It's almost never gritty, the worst that happens is people get their fingers cut off or shot. It's mainly intrigue and drama with twists. It's generally very lighthearted with idiots just starting trouble.
>>377565863
my only exposure to these guys from was the project X zone cross over games. so guess it was actually fairly close to the source material.
>>377566101
The few things I've seen of PxZ is definitely how they'd act in the series.
F.E.A.R
>>377560287
I was pretty disappointed in audiosurf and some other similar ones but this one sits really well with me.
Plus the novelty of racing to unique tracks synched to my own music appeals to me alot.
Darkest Dungeon
>>377567748
the grind is real though.
>>377569015
They reduced the grind by like 75% in radiant
Pokemon Sun. Doing some breeding for a casual friend.
>>377564848
I stuck with it for based Kenny.
>>377555395
Kill your friends boyo
>>377566379
sounds like I should be checking this out then. Thanks anon. plus, always want to support access to stuff we don't always get stateside.
Dead Cells. It's kinda a darker, faster paced Rogue Legacy with way more polish.
What's there is really good, but it's Early Access so it might be worth waiting for them to finish it.
>>377569885
yea i have my eye on it as well, but I'd rather wait for it to be out of early access. Tired of not having most of the content and then revisiting.
Prey. It's actually pretty fun.
>>377570478
the fact that turning into a coffee cup can be useful for maneuvering the map makes the game a+ in my book
