I emulated Moto Racer 2 a few months back and it felt kinda lackluster. I played through MediEvil about 4 years ago and it's still amazing. Never got around to playing Syphon Filter tho

I grew up in buttfuck nowhere where I didn't have internet until the mid 00's, right around the time I graduated high school. I lived and died on game rentals and demo discs. I honestly feel pity for the always online generation, they don't know the joy of getting all your chores done, bringing home that A+ you busted your ass for, and dad taking you to blockbuster where you could run into situations like:

When one of my dad's friends was throwing out all of his son's video games because he got sent to juvie, I got a shitload of demo discs including some of the Playstation Magazine ones that had Japanese games on them and shit. I remember pouring the beer in some cooking game and that's where I learned the "tip" thing to keep your drinks from being too frothy.

My favorite demo disc has to be that free issue of PSM I got when I bought my PSP, they were pushing Rogue Galaxy super hard so I got the demo which had a whole planet to explore, plus a dumb little cloth map. I never actually played the full game until it came out on PS4.

This is the demo I played the absolute most off of that pizza hut demo compilation. Interesting enough, my brother's friend found a copy and was playing it at our house. I forget why, but after about 3 hours into the game, we all got grounded for a week for yelling about where to go next. Even my brother's friend was banned from the house for a week. Never played Tomba or the demo again after that day.
