The original Animal Crossing is still the best. I really liked New Leaf, but I couldn't stand how easy they made everything. I caught a caelocanth on the very first day I played the game.

Not as similar as you might think, though. Hell, I live in the US and sometimes it's difficult talking to people from different states because of how different their signs are, or that they'll use signs I know to mean completely different things. When I see people from England signing I have a very hard time following. National language barriers in sign language are very real.

I've only recently got into Animal Crossing with the Gamecube version, and from what I've seen of New Leaf I would think (and hope) that the rolling log design was done only because of hardware limitations. I don't like the way it looks.
