I know we love to shit all over Fallout 4 for being a big pile of shit, but can we at least agree that whoever worked on the post apocalypse cityscapes did a pretty good job?
Yes, if they goal was to create a recently destroyed city
But fallout 4 takes place 200 years after it was destroyed. There's still newspapers and shit around on the floor. Makes no sense
How would we know?

Blame modern gamers. They wouldn't understand how several hundred years after some bombs fell that plants would be overrunning the place.
>>377488470
the gunplay was more enjoyable than NV and at least 100 times better than 3. it also had decent companions and the world design was about 500 times better than that of fallout 3
>>377488716
Yeah that shits retarded. It looks good, but it doesnt look like the bombs fell 200 years ago.
>still food inside everywhere
>>377488716
>>377488789
If only they had plants taking over, the games might be a bit more enjoyable.
Too bad they won't be changing their shitty post-apocalypse formula at this point. The settings and world will continue to be bland and boring.

Would plants grow in heavily irradiated lands?

Yes. In many ways Fallout 4 is more true to the aesthetics, design and feeling of the original Fallout games than 3 and New Vegas were. In the sense that it looks like what the buildings, armors, weapons, textures, items, lighting, vehicles and most other things should look like if you take Fallout 1/2 and convert them to a 3D engine, while still retaining the authenticity of it being on the East Coast Boston area.
That's actually one of the only strong points for Fallout 4.
>>377488932
They would grow, with some deformations here and there due to radiation fucking up DNA.
But after 200 years?
Heres Nagasaki just over 70 years after getting nuked.

>>377488870
>>377488923
agreed desu, fallout 4 should for the most part be taking place 10-20 years after the war
but with shit like the glow and pre war ghouls idk why you think it matters to them and they're not just gonna do a fallout 3 esque LE SO FUN OPEN WORLD EPIC XDDD game over and over
>>377488789
Radiation
You can tell Bethesda are retarded since the "smartest people in the commonwealth" are fucking retarded
>>377488932
Not initially, but because of the nature of plants they can adapt quickly, or at the very least die and leave room and resources for hardier plants to take over. It's what happened after Chernobyl and the surrounding areas. At first it was a wasteland, but then scientists were shocked at just how fast the place turned into essentially a Russian botanical gardens.
Radiation sucks for us because we think so highly of ourselves that one life, our life, is precious to us. Plants aren't like that. They reproduce and die on a scale that humans simply don't bother to comprehend. To plants, radiation is just a weird thing that increases the diversity of their offspring. They've evolved by being shredded by constant sunlight for millions of years; sunlight that would kill us in equal exposure.
Why the brotherhood is the only rational and morally right faction to choose in fallout 4
>>377489134
Pussy little A-bombs are nothing compared to the H-bombs floating around.
>>377489421
>choosing another faction over a faction of which you are supreme commander
cuck
>>377489156
Don't forget that in more than 200 fucking years nobody has created a structure more permanent than a fucking rickety shack thrown together with scrap metal, or cleaned out nearby debris, even in Diamond "The Jewel of the Commonwealth" City
>skip all minutemen quests
>game improves dramatically
>>377489518
So are you saying to side with the Minutemen or the Institute?
>>377490208
either works, albeit the institute is super underwhelming but you still keep control of the minutemen
albeit I prefer going minutemen without destroying either the BoS or the railroad. with that questline the game would have actually been cool as a proper city (re)builder, just fix stuff and people up, basically rebuild civilization. not sure how far mods have gotten in that regard
>>377490395
There's a mod called Sim Settlements you might like
>>377490472
looks cool
>>377488470
looks like a shittier hl2.... (from 2004) so glad I never played this game
if that's the strong point of the game, lol I imagine how shitty everything else is
fuck you
