Would you play a remake of Undertale? I think looking like ass

It'd be cool if someone did in the style of the Mario & Luigi games.

Pixel art needs to die. It doesn't work on a medium where you can't easily distinguish the pixel grid. It doesn't even look good emulated.

My biggest complaint about this game is how the artstyle is never consistent, so why not.

the art is not the problem with the game, it's the lack of content

toby should add a fucking hardmode like promised and some extra areas/gameplay before even considering some hi-bit updated version

The art style is basically a toybox; chaotic, mismatched, and full of budget dolls from China that are full of lead.

It definitely can't be called good but I think it adds something to Undertale that it wouldn't add to other games.

The contrast in flowey's art style in the boss fight was so unexpected, loved it. I don't really see why the rest of the games graphics were so inconsistent though. It feels like the NPCs and enemies were designed first and then Frisk was made in the last day of production.

Even considering what UT was trying to do, it was still barebones as fuck. The only part of the game that is somewhat developed from a gameplay perspective is the SHUMP defense mechanics. Everything else is cheap, hollow, and woefully underdeveloped.

I liked the game enough to play through it all the way, but just like everything else that's shilled to fuck and back on the internet it was a 7-8/10 at best. I don't know why people latched onto this okay game as hard as they did.

There are a lot of games that I consider 7 that I wouldn't really play again and so think they're just okay. Nier Automata for one. With how hard everyone was cumming over that one I assumed it would be some transcendental mythical once in a lifetime experience, but what I got was a Taro game with decent writing/visuals/combat for once. That's just me though. I consider a game great if it makes me want to play it more than once or the one playthrough I do is spectacular, which I don't really consider Undertale outside of one or two moments in the game.
