The only problem I have with it at the moment is a lack of a price drop.

I know this is the best they are going to do with the series in America, but they need to allow penny pinchers to have a chance as well. The hype died after those of us that pre-ordered, beat the game.

not him but i'm currently ~20 hours in or so and he's not that wrong. i like it but there's a lot of just sitting around. a lot of substories are just listening to a cutscene and maybe getting some dialogue choices or a fight in the end.

This game scratched that narrative, cutscene heavy itch i had that mgsv failed at

What a world we live in, the gameplay looked like absolute ass. Why in the world do the Japanese insist on putting aiming on the left stick though? It's infuriating and this isn't the first time I've seen it.

If at 20 hours you're not enjoying it, chances are you're not going to enjoy it at all. The Yakuza series relies on you being into the idea of walking around low poly Japanese cities, playing shitty minigames (combat included) and obviously being into the whole idea of the Yakuza itself.

Kiryu is so fucking boring so maybe with him finally being replaced it'll get more interesting but I doubt it since Majima's character in 0 was as shallow as a puddle and they had so much room to do whatever they wanted with him.

I understand what you're saying but the cool thing about videogames is that there's room for everything and in a lot of ways characters and stories can resonate with you in a much more meaningful way since you're often the driving force in progressing your character/the story.

There's room on the market for every shape of game.
