What cooler do you use?
I'm glad I switched to a dual tower personally, too afraid of leaks/pump noise/wear to go CLC.
Noctua color scheme is so fucking ugly holy shit.
But it works I guess, because the instant I see it in a pic I recognize the brand.
Currently a Ben Nevis on my i5-6600. It's more than enough for its puny 65W TDP.
CM EVO for the past 3 systems. No plan to change. Perfect value ratio. No noise. Hard to beat.

Yeah, weird thing is I'm starting to kinda like it.

Never heard of them. Are they a US/Asia/Oceania specific brand? Europoor here.

Evo is a great cooler for it's price, don't get me wrong, but I don't subscribe to the no noise part.
I had a NH-U12P single tower + two Noctua fans on it and it was still audible under load.
The D15 sounds a lot quiter to me, but I'll admit I've also switched the Fractal fans for Noctuas.

Got a single U14S to cool my 7700k down. Its temp never goes above 40°C

Why lie on the Internet?

Then try an EVO. Any modern CPU worth a damn is under 100 TDP. A single fan EVO barely needs to work with a single fan.

he's not lying. i've got the same cooler on my 4790. i've never seen it over 38 or so.

Ben Nevis is a model by Alpenföhn. Are you from Moldovia or why don't you know them?

I'm enjoying my idle of 36-38
