Does anyone else make it a personal goal to look for the MLGS in their first playthrough of a Souls game? It's always been my main weapon in the games.
Is a magic - melee build with magic scaling weapons instead of spells viable?

Yes.
>>377409434
viable as in can beat the game - yes. Optimal is to go with dex/str scaling and cast a weapon buff if you have high faith/int. That is for DS3 btw.

Did it piss you off when you found out that you have to beat the game or use an ascetic to get it in 2?

If dex-str is my main then I prefer to stay so and just use resins or the rouge.
In DS2 it was obviously completely overpowered to use magic scaling weapons, don't know if they are any fun now

I thought it was kinda dumb. Took me two days to finally beat that area because the mages and spiders were fucking bullshit.
After I got it and upgraded it to +5, The Guardian Dragon went down in 5 hits.
It's a shitty meme sword that I've never understood the appeal for. It's always bested by something much more easily obtained.

Each time i play a fromsoft game, i try to found he MLGS, since king's field.

>tfw spiders kill you in 1 hit on Bonfire Ascetic +1

>meme sword
Not really. Upgrading it and scaling it with INTL/ARC can make it a pretty viable weapon for mage builds.

man, what a pretty sword

It's fun, make a build around it in every game, would never use them for pvp though.
