What separates a competitive/git gud player over people who mostly play single player games?
I don't know but I'm just here to say modern Runescape is actually kind of good.
Gitgud's dont have a life and everything revolves around getting higher dps/kills. Then they get mad when people have fun playing their games casually.

And I'm here to say modern Runescape isn't good.
>tfw still have a folder for my screenshots I look upon for nostalgia
>>377395113
>play competitive content competitively
>wtf tryhards
>>377395334
How was it so good bros
>>377395470
You didn't know any alternatives.
>>377395470
Was nice to just chill out with people and chat most of the time, since a lot of the skills were mundane.
>fishing lvls?>nice
>>377395579
>Bunch of people fletching in banks
>Fishing in the fishing guild or Caterby
>Chopping yews in Edgeville
>Mining rune essence in Varrock
>>377395334
>tfw all the old Runescape friends I made are gone and I probably wouldn't get along with them now anyway because we were like 12
The internet and its early MMOs were something no future generation will ever understand

>standing around a popular spot and talking to people while alching 99 magic
I miss those times, so much simpler. Quit in 2007 though.
>BANK SALE
>>377393379
As someone who never played RS growing up and first experience with the game is RS3. I can safely say that OSRS is the vastly superior game.
>>377393379
Desire for social interaction
>>377395765
Oh please, RS classic was garbage.

>>377395967
Why not go play OSRS and enjoy the game with people who have just as fond of memories
>>377395967
>shithead kiddies
You know the people that grew up playing this are 25-35 right?
>>377395742
Dope bank, did you ever get real money for the masks?
>>377396083
He's talking about RS1, you'll probably just trigger him by saying this.
>>377396137
>>377395967
I didn't realize people still defended classic. Respect, truly.
>>377396124
Nah, I gave everything to a friend when I quit, even my account I think, I can't even remember. The last image I took

being an undeservedly arrogant shithead

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck this takes me back.
Who /staker/ here
>>377396315
Tried it, sucked.
I stuck with being a merchant
>>377396315
Lost 6 years worth of bank to it, come back every summer, rebuild, lose it all. I'd probably be only decently wealthy person if I saved it all.

Yeah pretty much. The game also improved my English (not a native)

>tfw you pk your friend in multi way wilderness
it's alright though I gave him his stuff back

>>377396796
>walk around banks asking to buy a white cape
>someone finally told me you get it from doing a quest
>You will never be stuck in a limbo of prime Runescape with your friends
Who /fair dick/. The main thing I miss about old RS is dropping everything on death; death actually meant something and it was exciting as fuck to see someone die and to see what you got in the loot frenzy. Anyway I constantly did shit like
>Hang around Ape Atoll as a monkey
>Offer help to people with Monkey Madness
>Eventually bait them into getting killed
>Loot their shit
>Give it back if they PM me and aren't an asshole about it
>Otherwise meet up under the guise of giving it back, equip his gear and teleport out
>>377393379
>And I'll host an older build of the game for people who prefer the classic Runescape they played growing up
The classic runescape I played growing up didn't have a grand exchange, and you actually had to communicate with people to trade
>>377397704
You're going to be a baby about that? Did you quit OSRS when they re-added the grand exchange?
Real players realize the pointlessness of typing out what you want to buy or sell. Even deadman mode added a fucking grand exchange.
>>377397949
No, I never started again in the first place
I just love bitching
>>377393379
>single player games
co-op > pvp
Did anyone else ever discover the ultimate secret to wealth? Takes about 10 minutes for potential millions.
Easy clues, my niggas.
>>377397949
Grand exchange changed the feel of the game, but I don't think anyone could deny its usefulness. Wilderness Ditch however, was pure cancer
