I got into Disgaea with 3, the actual worst one in the series and I still enjoyed it. Can't be worse than that.

Who cares it's not like you're ever going to meet these people.

5 is FAR from the worst. As long as it's competing with D1 overall, DD2 as a whole, D3, and especially Disgaea DS, it's never going to be even possibly considered the worst among actual fans. D4 Vita is probably the strongest entry in the franchise, with subjective opinions about the story, and if D5 Switch follows D4 Vita's footsteps, it's on its way to be right up there too.
