I only got this game to play as Nine. Completed all her challenges last night and felt proud of myself. The last two (third tier of 9 and 10) probably took me a couple hours to complete alone. I don't think I'll ever be good at the game itself but at least my execution is somewhat decent.

I main Hazama and Terumi, with a bit of Izanami and Naoto.

I can't do 1-frame cancels so do decent corner-carry Bnb's for Naoto. I just ain't that great with it. I also have a tough time doing midscreens with Izzy because she's just so different than what I usually play both in and out of Blazblue.

I can't do the more serious corner combos for Terumi with his 6D and I still can't fucking do Hazama's scoop to chain, cancel, and up-chain beneath them. It's some sick-shit that I always wanted to pull off but just can't get down.

UNIEL is basically Blazblue in visuals and Street Fighter footsies. It's also relatively tame compare to the crazy amount of combos and movement you can pull off.

UNI rewards and penalizes the player in how they play with the GRD system that the two players compete over. Landing attacks, moving forward, and blocking correctly gives you GRD which in turn grants you Vorpal that buffs damage output and also gives access to a cancel that also rewards you with meter. It's also pretty punishing since there's no way out of combos unless the other player fucks up

Well, Bullet has one of the best Overdrives in the game considering her limitations. Getting a free Heat level and not losing Heat no matter what is very strong for her. Compare that to someone like Susan who just gets to use his specials (admittedly without having to unlock them, but he mainly focuses on a few and you'll likely have unlocked them anyway). Then compare that to Izayoi, who builds up stars for her specials for free and makes her even more oppressive in her flight mode, or Arakune who instantly activates his curse and forces you to block the incoming mixup or take a lot of damage. They're just all over the place, I mean Bang even has to power up his Overdrive before it gets really crazy.

Overdrives for characters are either complete shit, or god like and plays a huge hand in who is S tier and who is C tier. Because of the fact that it can work as a free reversal and otherwise just completely turn the match around.

For example Izayoi's OD gives her a bunch of her crystals needed to stay in her GA mode which is super shitty for the opponent because it allows her to do whatever the fuck she wants. Or in another case Arakune's OD literally makes it "his turn" because it just auto curses the opponent and keeps them cursed.

I want Susano'o to have his Drive changed. He should have access to all of his abilities at the start; of course they'd be tweaked due to this. But instead have all of them able to level with his drive, increasing their properties like some of his specials already do.

If they want to keep the unlock mechanic and at the very least his first for special should be unlocked he just build from there. Anything other than starting him as a cripple and forcing him to work his way up to being decent. Also take away that delay on his dash

By my memory Susan has a fast moving elbow projectile that counts as a hit. And he can use 4D to unlock whatever special he's on. Its not efficient but any port in a storm.

Really that's the core problem with Susanoo. They wanted an okay character that gets stronger as the match progresses. But there are a bunch of characters that are just strong all the time. And Susan just has to deal with that.

I really wanted to like Nine, but she's just so boring to watch. Same with Bullet. So then I picked up Izanami, and she's legit harder than my main Carl.

CF was full of disappointments. Hopefully the Switch release will spice things up.

I never got the mechanics behind the Unlimited versions, why can they do such ridiculous combos? It's not just higher damage and health, they can do things the regular versions can't. Do their moves have lower startup and recovery frames or something?

I like that you have different tech options for knockdown in BB compared to GG.

I like OD a lot as a mechanic since it makes what's unique about a character very strong.

I like that barrier serves a purpose in BB since it's not tied to your meter and IB Barrier existing as a true pushblock pretty much but tied to your "skill".

Then there's a few other things I nitpick about GG that have answers to it like why does it have a 1f throw that OS's itself, why you can counter a defensive mechanic Blitz shield with another blitz shield, DANGER TIME and YRC.
