Destiny 2 is also 30FPS on the PS4 and X1. Cool tablet processor design for consoles. The PS3 and 360 were bleeding tech hardware, it wasn't until 2008 that the GPU market for consumers had a good counter to the Xbox 360's GPU at affordable prices with more VRAM as well. Meanwhile tablet processor PS4 and X1 were OUTDATED the moment they hit the market.

Even then the 360 and PS3 were only cutting-edge on paper, the games they actually got in the first two years or so were last-gen ports, projects extended into the new generation, or plain didn't use the hardware properly.
Compare CoD2 or Oblivion to GTA5 or Halo 4, that tech was wasted for a long damn time.

Sure the PC wasn't doing any better at the same time but you could still play all of the games you had up until then on the same machine as well as go online for free and chat shit on MSN and myspace.

OP's right about one thing though, not a lot of games look significantly better on PC.
If you prefer controllers, don't care about framerate, resolution, mods, PC exclusive genres or free online, consoles are objectively better for you. There are people like that and I won't look down on them for their choice.
