It looks like there are three abilities now, which is cool. Destiny 1 really lacked an activated ability that wasn't a grenade or super.

I probably won't love the game but I will still probably play it for 500 hours because I am a sucker for WoW-style raiding but also love the excellent shooting mechanics.

Destiny is the kind of game that makes me hate modern videogames.

You have a fantastic setting, great gameplay and an enjoyable loot system and then you go and fuck it up by having just enough content to reach max level and do a raid once.

I really enjoy Destiny and I agree when it first came out it was pretty bad. As it stands today, the game is a lot of fun with a lot of stuff to do and they fixed many of the issues that plagued the initial release. Seeing this trailer gives me a lot of hope because they are essentially re-booting the game and adding shit that should have been in Destiny 1.

The game before TTK was pretty bad, but it has gotten significantly better since then. The reception of destiny when it was released helped push Bungie to get their asses in gear and make the game they promised and I commend them for putting in that effort even if it should have been better from the start.

I think the problem ultimately with destiny 1 was Bungie was not entirely sure where they wanted their game to go or what they wanted to be. I am confident now they have figured it out.

Destiny PVP outside of trials and Iron banner balances all weapons regardless of level or light. You could just spend your entire time in the crucible and you will reach max level and a pretty high Light Level. You can also get exotics and some decent guns in the crucible which can give you a slight edge (but not in terms of damage output).

Regardless of anything the worst part of this game is going to be the community. I was obessed with the first for a while but I gave up when i turned in to nothing but grouping up ti cheese bosses and farm medciocre gear just to do it all again. The "story" never fucking matters and it's all smoke and mirrors as you play instance hopper five thousand and stare at load screens.

Like so many releases these days it could be amazing if they focused on the god damn game play over everything else.
