Because a single frame takes about a thousand gpu-hours to process. For a simple 30fps enjoyment you'd need ((1000hours)*(60toMinutes)*(60toSeconds)*(30fps)=) 108.000.000 gpu's to play it, assuming there's no overhead (there is).

That and the moviescenes are often checked by experts for errors and such. They can't really do that 30 times a second.
