Why would you ever do that to yourself though? Even my phone has a keyboard, and it didn't cost hundreds of dollars.

I always found it weird modern console games don't have text chat. You can plug keyboards into both the PS4, and Xbone. Hell I played FFXIV on ps4 with a keyboard and mouse for a bit.
I know it would be weird because only a few people would do it, but it would be helpful. Most people have a keyboard laying around.
