I liked DW2, but then again, I do enjoy the Mystery Dungeon games.

Mainly, though, it was because I was disappointed with the endgame in the most recent game I played. (Dusk) Giving me just four more digimon to catch, a fuckton of grinding for stats, and even more grinding for element XP was just not something I was interested in doing.

No, because like Pokemon, you are intended to have 1001 different ones and you can't meaningfully assign personalities to each one. You either end up with a small handful of repeated personalities randomly assigned, or you end up with a bunch of bland stereotypes which just feel tacked on. Oh, sure, the seal digimon likes to eat fish. But that isn't much of a personality trait.

The only "half human digimon" we've seen have been digimon digivolved/merged with humans, so it's hard to say. A lot of the times, it seems as if the human gets digitized into energy and basically turned into a digimon, which means that they are effectively just a digimon.

Then again, it depends on what you mean by "half digimon". Digimon don't exactly reproduce like humans (although I've not watched all the seasons so that may be incorrect in some situations) and so trying to have sex with one probably won't produce anything. There's no sperm or ovaries or womb for a digimon to create or sustain a pregnancy. And sure, the human could just go digital and reproduce the digimon way, but at that point you're basically just producing a digimon with an odd parent (and perhaps an odd method).
