Hating her became a meme when P4 got really popular on here, but there was always a reasonable basis for the hate. Her personality is obnoxious at best even when executed properly in stories (which it was not in this case), the twist behind her "forgotten identity" is really shitty and predictable if you've played the original or if you know anything about the actual deity, amnesia in general is a very overused and lazy plot device, she's an unnecessary retcon that could be perceived as pandering to the player (literally romancing a goddess), and those fucking poems should have been skippable.

Also her dungeon was boring as fuck and the gimmick got annoying very quickly. I appreciated the extra content she brought but I really didn't like anything about her. Her design also kind of stands out in the setting but that's not that big a deal and kinda nitpicky.

P4G was my first Persona game, and I didn't know she was an addition or whatever and I could tell something was up with her.
Like, she dosnt seem like she's designed the same way or written the same way as any other character. Later you see Sho in Ultimax and he felt the same way. I think fans dont like those characters because they just seem like transplants from chinese knockoff versions of the games that theyre in.
