It never finished. For several years it went uncontinued. Then he made a new episode and then several more years went by and then he remade episode 1 and planned to do a reboot of the whole thing. Then nothing since then. He doesn't care enough to finish it. For how much time he apparently puts into making it he doesn't think it's worth it. That's not what happened. He originally had his patreon set up so he'd only get paid whenever he released an episode. Then Nintendo apparently shut his patreon down for copyright or some shit, so he had to go to a monthly patreon model and now he's "too depressed" to work on episode 2.
