Correction; the same thing for 20 fucking years until they ruined it.

It's not fun on a replay. The starters were mediocre while each one developed a hyper aggressive fanbase. Too much text and not enough to do. Hid any new Pokemon behind walls and walls of old Pokemon. Made some aggravating design choices, like not only giving the Lillie's mom only 5 Pokemon in the final encounter, but giving most of them Pain Split so they'd suicide against you

I've yet to finish it. I don't even remember where I left it at.
