Consoles will even have custom hardware at times, built by the company creating the console instead of by a 3rd party like the parts that are in PCs. The PS3 has a custom CPU and GPU, the Xbone has its own 1rst party cores. They're not standardized, and the simplest difference is that one is more powerful, changing how games must be optimized.
