I don't usually commit to extreme statements, but I can go along with this one.
Quiet's backstory is stupid, her actions and motivations are nonsensical and contrived for the sake of the story and its themes. She's a narrative device, A TOOL if you will, with nothing to make her a relatable and likeable human being.

The Fox Engine had everything to make a mute character likable with facial expressions and motion capture but Kojima doesnt have the talent to write a mute character properly.

I even cringe at the SFM porn of Quiet, they animate her fucking Venom and it's disgusting to see.

I know Hideo Kojima is married and has kids. And that Hideo himself has pushed for pervy stuff like the all the bosses in MGS4 were meant to be completely naked but would push the rating to Adults Only.

But having said all that, MAN DO I GET THE VIBE that Hideo was that guy with the motion capture actress of Quiet. Like his first western waifu princess and he aimed to please her. The final story arc of Quiet about to be raped and then showing she's a strong woman, with this 'aww look how cute Snake and Quiet are" undertone -- I actually skipped it. It was the most eyeball rolling moment in a series that has MGS4.

Quiet also not shutting up while aiming and humming drove me nuts. And even if you tell her to stop humming, her AI behavior is reset every time she changes position or Lord, you use the helicopter system.

Not once during my rant did I complain about Quiet's backstory or her looks, Hideo just came across as the SquareEnix dude in love with Lightning.

The only difference is the slight fat under her chin which makes her look uglier. Besides the bigger tits, no idea why they decided to add that.

Mechanically I enjoyed having Quiet as a companion on missions. She wasn't perfect, but I've had a few clutch moments where her sniping really made a difference. On the flip side, I've had plenty of times where her AI was shitty and fucked me over when I was trying to do something.

Story-wise she's ok I guess, not really anything to ring praise over. Her role as a glorified suicide soldier on a mission to take down Mother Base with the English parasites was kinda cool. Apperance-wise she's trash, total fanservice material with a weak "excuse" to be a naked ho all the time. Kojima is pretty much just a cuck DESU which makes no sense, he could have just gone and bought himself some hookers with a fraction of the budget he wasted making the abortion that was MGSV.

PO is a trash and the first major sign of bad things to come for Metal Gear, but none of the characters in it were as shitty as Quiet.

I always found Quiet to be somewhat repulsive looking. The ripped panty hose and the ride-up underwear always looked trashy which is a turn-off for me, her breasts are always poised at a specific angle which makes them look like they're made of literal plastic, and her face/facial expressions are modeled such a way in-game that she looks like dysfunctional broody chick with daddy issues that you knew in high school.
