I'd like to see a Zelda game that focuses on fleshing out the base mechanics rather than having some new gimmick that will never be used again. Just quality non-motion control sword fighting, some good dungeons/side content, and a small set of versatile items that stay consistently useful by being used in lots of creative ways.

Improve on BotW, next game needs to be what MM was to OoT.

Lots of high quality dungeons and cool new items.
Take BotW's engine and turn it into an actual Zelda game. No more shrines, just have ~9 good dungeons that are hidden throughout the world. Add a lot more runes. Just expand on the core content in general, focus on quality over quantity. The world should be smaller and more condensed, not huge and repetitive.

Majora's Mask, with ALTTP and Link's Awakening close behind. I liked MM mainly because of the atmosphere + gameplay combination, although I generally prefer top-down Zelda. I just want them to make another top-down game with an atmosphere rivalling MM. Haven't played ALBW yet, though.

Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild.
They're just really fun games that I enjoyed spending my time with.
More of a focus on characters. Breath of the Wild had potential, but the characters sadly weren't that well done.

Because it was the first Zelda I've completed, the feather makes it super fun and dynamic, the music and atmosphere are great plus the story isn't too intrusive while still providing enough for an engaging quest.

BotW with no puzzle shit and actual dungeon crawl. Also drop the plot, it's just been anime nonsense for a while already.
