>5 of us build good bases, ~3 other members that don't come on as often building small things
>have all these ideas flowing of what to build, what to do in the world we created
>us 5 try to progress together, do tons of the quests(mansion, temple, end) together
>we get as far as beating the end dragon
>suddenly 5 members just completely stop playing
>causes the remaining 3 regulars to slowly stop as well
>only people that ever play anymore are me, my brother, and an acquaintance, and even we play infrequently and rarely together
>planned to play on the world for 2 years, lasted 2 weeks
>the dream dies
What a waste of a perfectly good server. It was a beautiful world, and it will stay immaculate.

Nobody even died or anything. It's just one day 5 of us stopped playing altogether, I still see them play other games on steam.
