No, but it definitely adds to the atmopshere in some games.

I only smoke indoors when I replay Metal Gear, Souls games, Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Also sometimes when I find a game really fun and chill, for example Persona 5.

I only smoke when I've been drinking. Best vidya memory augmented with cigs though was chain smoking whilst piloting a transport chopper in BF Bad Company 2 and racking up mad assists with the mounted guns by circling objectives.
