hmmm should I do it? The first game wasn't a huge challenge for me, but I can tell that a nightmare mode wouldn't be some pussy bullshit like Witcher 3 Deathmarch, it'll actually be hard.

What game is this?
>>377023420
Hard.
Nightmare is replay-only.
>>377023420
Calvard when?
Also no, don't do a first playthrough of SC on nightmare, it's borderline impossible and not fun (unlike every other Falcom game)
If you get someone else's clear data it might be manageable, but otherwise, stick with normal or hard
3rd though, yes, do nightmare for sure when you get there

A great JRPG trilogy.
Trails in the Sky - First Chapter, Second Chapter, 3rd (Chapter).
OP is playing the second one.
>>377023420
You're not supposed to do nightmare on a first playthrough. It's for new game+

>>377023747
>>377023938
okay I'll go with normal I'm not even that much of an rpger.
RPG's I've honestly beaten from memory:
Lufia II
Final Fantasy Seven
Final Fantasy II
ummm I feel like there should be more... trails 1
Evoland II
>>377024282
oh and Jeanne D'arc
>>377024282
Just to make sure, you did beat First Chapter right?
Don't go into SC if you haven't beaten FC.
>>377024683
yeah i beat it and my save data even carries over
>>377024832
Yeah that's good.
3rd will import your save from SC as well.
>>377024282
Yeah, just play it on normal for the plot then
If you want to get into the meat of difficult Falcom games you should do that with the Ys series instead anyway- Not all Trails are horribly imbalanced on Nightmare, but SC at least is
Few things are less fun than getting asspulverized by RNG Hitler in the prologue and having no motivation to continue the rest of the series because of it
