AHAHHAHAHAAH
>>377023061
But there were a few threads just today about it.
Including this one!
What are you getting at?

Fuck off back to le r.eddit.
>>377023061
I'm downloading it right now.
>>377023236
But this thread was literally created to talk about the game. Even bad press is still press.
>>377023537
Brumpkins would disagree.
>>377023061
I've been seeing threads about how great it is since it released.
>>377023595
Who?

>>377023481

Yes.

people keep saying it's like bioshock or dishonored but it feels more like a spooky space dxhr to me
the neuromods system feels way more like praxis than it does like whatever the shit was in bioshock
>>377024305
Using the 1.00 exe with 1.02 files is not the same thing. You're still running 1.00
>>377024550
>people keep saying it's like bioshock or dishonored but it feels more like a spooky space dxhr to me
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>377025073
never played ss1 or ss2 so i can't say. but what i said is true, it really does feel similar. the neuromods system feels like praxis, the inventory system looks and feels just like dxhr's too. the whole multiple ways to get through an area also feels like dxhr/dxmd. i also find myself abusing stealth a lot, too.
i mean it's quite possible that a lot of games in this genre just end up borrowing heavily from each other these days, but yeah, what i'm playing feels a lot like a modern deus ex game except spooky and in space.

I thought it felt like Bioshock but with less interesting powers and weapons. Gloo gun was great but the rest of the arsenal was a let-down. Shotgun was okay, pistol was boring, Q-beam was boring, Stun-gun looked nice but was boring too. They all needed some new unlockable feature or something, stat-upgrades are not really fun.
Map design was good, especially all the hidden stuff you can find or explore early on. That drops off later when there are less things to find and they aren't as rewarding as they are in the early game.

nerfgun can be useful too, hitting terminals from the other side of security glass is always fun
agree about stat upgrades not being a fun mechanic
>>377026387
>>377026507
Yeah, but some of them drastically improve functionality. Like the charge up on the stun gun.
>>377026387
>Q-Beam
>boring
exploration is top. that ending is fucking shit
>>377026694
Q-Beam is just a laser, functionally it just reduces enemy health. I liked the way the model jiggled but it's an otherwise uninteresting weapon.
>>377023595
Umm, sweetie?
>>377027252
Ah carp it ate my picture
>>377027068
Okay fine but how are any of Bioshock's weapons more interesting then? Don't get me wrong I love BS but all of its guns are pretty standard fair: pistol, shotgun, machinegun, grenade launcher, flamethrower, etc.
>>377026826
See, I'm not sure what reason people have to be angry at the ending beyond justLOL ITS ALL A DREAM MAYMAY. It's something that was set up from almost the beginning of the game, that makes sense in the context of the world, and also incorporates the player choice in a way that makes story sense within the world.
It's not a fantastic ending, but it's better than most people seem to be shouting about.

The flamethrower has 3 ammo types, napalm, nitrogen and electric gel.
The rocket launcher also has 3 ammo types, grenades, mines and heat-seekers.
Crossbow has 3 ammo types, regular, incendiary and the ones used to make electrical traps.
I'll admit, the machine-gun, shotgun and pistol are pretty boring but at least their upgrades add new parts onto the model.
