Level design is the single most important aspect of an FPS.

Good? Maybe it was good in 99, but that game is terrible. Some enemies blast you to hell and back the very microsecond they see 1 pixel of you because the game has RNG critical hits.

You can't even tell me to get good as sometimes you can't anticipate that the enemy behind a door you're about to open will 1 shot you the moment the door starts opening.

Is this game playable on modern hardware? I tried to get NOLF running again but I can't get the mouse to work properly no matter what, fucking Lithtech engine.

It was so fucking good, I loved the multiplayer and the fact that it was a mecha/human fps based on the level made the gameplay diverse enough to never get old. It sucks that you couldn't have bots and that there was really no central multiplayer servers (as far as I was aware) since I only had a few friends to play with and it really needed more for satisfying multiplayer.

I played it for the first time ever just couple years ago on my W7 Ultimate machine with i5 2500 and GTX 560ti. Had zero issues.
