Anidex is go-to for now. There's a nyaa backup being developed by /g/, and a new nyaa made by supposed old staff members of nyaa. Safe to stick with Anidex for now anyway.

Also any Rider series is a good starting point. Watch 5 episodes and if it doesn't grab you, move onto another one. They're all differently themed, so you can't really find a good start position.
