I'll admit, 30 is far more playable with slower paced games. Not to say it's better or equal to 60, just the difference is far less.

I have, and there is no difference. Specifically, I played Kingdom Hearts on PS3 (30 fps) and PS4 (60 fps). There was no appreciable difference, even going back and forth.

I play exclusively on a console and even I know that there's a very noticeable difference between 30 fps and 60. 45-60 is hard to tell, 60+ fps makes absolutely no difference.

Can't say for KH, haven't palyed it, but it's a big difference for any sort of first person game on PC. The far more precise control of the mouse causes 30 to feel far laggier than 60. Likewise, currently playing duck souls 3 and it's very noticeable when my fps drops under 60.

Most games these days have shit like motion blur to ease out the choppier animations in 30 anyway. There's really nothing wrong with playing in 30 if you're fine with it, some much prefer the prettier graphics than smoother frames.

Well yeah, drops are going to awful no matter what game you're playing because being "trained" to react and respond at a certain rate, even if it's not consciously noticeable, then having it switch up on you in the middle of a task will negatively impact your performance. What I want to emphasize is that a consistent fps rate should take more priority than just obtaining an arbitrarily high number.

Fully agree that as long as the frame rate is stable at either your refresh rate or half it's fine. The fact is that it's not just input delay that's the problem, it does visually look better; even if some don't notice, a lot do. It's the reason 60fps porn is so good. The hobbit is a whole other can of worms, but it shows people DO notice.
