Was there a single generation where Nintendo + PC wasn't

PC wasn't that good in NES/SNES days. Arguably N64 too. You only needed a console for good games.

The only reason I get Nintendo consoles is because it differentiates itself enough from PC to cover as many bases as possible.

PC GAMING SUCKS, AND HERE'S WHY:

It's gonna cost you AT LEAST $1k to build a PC that lasts an ENTIRE console gen, and I'm not even factoring in the inevitable GPU upgrade.

And what do you get for that extra $600? Well, let me list that for you:

1. Steam sales.

A bunch of lazy console ports, marked off at 75% (because nobody would buy them otherwise), that are designed to be used with an Xbox/PS gamepad. Oh, you can use a controller with a PC? Yeah, enjoy dropping another $30-$40 on that. And, if you do decide to drop more $$$, you're missing the fucking point of playing on a PC in the first place: KEYBOARD AND MOUSE. PRECISION GAMING.

2. Not being able to sell your games.

I think that pretty much speaks for itself. You faggots don't even factor this into your budget arguments.

Consolefag buys game for $60 > Plays it to completion > Sells it on Ebay for $30-$45

PCfag waits 1 year for game to come down to $4.99 - $19.99 > Plays it to completion > Never touches it again > Meanwhile consolefag is enjoying NEW titles

3. Dead servers.

If you've ever actually bought any of the discounted games on Steam, you'd know that the MP servers are pretty much dead on them. Golly gee whiz... I wonder why Gabe is willing to sell them for only $5?


4. Mods.

95% of the mods created by gamers are absolute horse (quite fitting, since 60% of PC gamers are autistic ponyfags) shit. Oh, I can modify my Oblivion character to look like a whore from some Japanese hentai? Oh, but that's not all. Some PC modders actually include keyloggers into their mods to steal your personal information. Master race is right. MasterCARD race. Fucking dumb faggots.
PC gaming is okay if you are a masochist that has money to burn.

Not to mention Wii U games are emulatable so you don't even need a Wii U. Nintendo should really publish on PC. GC had some good games but lacked others
Xbox had XBL and also good games

all in all PS2 was the best imo if you arent a fanboy that cares about exclusives. if you are then i prefer xbox for halo and gc for mario

this has only been true since 8th gen since ps4 and xbone are basically underpowered multiplat engines while the wii u was the only one that had any interesting exclusive games to bring to the table (still hardly any).
Before that it was easily PC+Wii+(either ps3 or 360 but not both), and before that every console worth owning. Not that anyone actually owned all of them, because the cost would have been ridiculous.
