UT4 is dead

QC will overshadow UT because it's actually going to come out and not stay in alpha. I mean, QC is fucking horrible and a disgrace to the Quake name but actual marketing + actually coming out is something that will actually bring in players.

I think we all know who the "real winner" is. With the increasing instability of Windows's networking due to retarded phone home shit that wastes bandwidth and debacles like the recent ransomware scare, more and more pro gamers are going to move to Linux for the promise of network stability once all of their games are there.

Pretty much every Valve game released supports Linux with killer performance that compares well to Windows, and almost every UDK (Unreal Development Kit) game supports Linux now.

What Epic Games is doing is building an engine that will allow for developers to easily create games and port them to any platform. Eventually, a lot of players will use Linux soley due to the fact that it's free and if you take the game seriously you don't have to worry about retarded microsoft bloat getting in your way.

They released UT4 way too early.

Even Valve gave up on that dream.

Gamers want all the games and Linux isn't replacing shit until Devs start bringing everything to Linux. Which will probably never happen.

And let's not get started on the topic of legacy software. WINE is a giant pain in the ass.

Hell I don't even like using Linux beyond having simple Web Browsing/Torrent Downloading. You know why, because I don't like having to fuck around with Kernals and Distributions to install the most simple of software.
