Why is this game so shilled on /v/?

Don't remember anything like that with other Denuvo games like Deus Ex 4 or Dishonored 2.
>>
>>376898886
It's the first Denuvo game which is worth the money.
>>
>>376898886
Its pretty fun. I barely see any threads about it.
>>

Because it barely came and this is a video game board you stupid nigger.
>>
>>376898886
It's no way near the amount of shilling games like shitsona 5 have.

The difference is that people actually talk about the game instead of circlejerking over a visual novel dating sim.
>>
because its a decent game getting shat on for stupid reasons

Because the attention has nothing to do with the DRM and anti-piracy measure but rather the actual gameplay - those first person games where you get to play your way by sneaking around, using weird abilities or just gunning everything down are always fun somehow and as such get the attention they deserve. That said, for me it didn't bring much new to the genre despite being quite alright otherwise.
I'm not the target audience though, perhaps a young generation who experiences this genre the first time with Prey does have better feelings towards it.

It's getting loads of threads and talked about a lot because it's basically a love letter to 3-4 classic games that are almost universally liked on here

its getting ok ratings, in terms of reviewer scales. it definitely deserves 9/10s and 10/10s, but its getting 8/10s and below. the game is genuinely underrated.
>>
Because the publisher decided to not give it a marketing campaign since astro-turfing companies are cheaper. You'd see non-stop shilling for this turd in spite of the what the actual people were saying about it.

Now that reviews are finally available, the marketers can no longer hide what was being said.

The game is great, I love the gameplay, the only thing wrong with it is the ridiculous "it was all a simulation" twist

it's okay at the start to kickstart the story, but pulling it off again at the end was a retarded twist, that made no sense and retroactively ruins and devalues all you do during the entire game

That's a good thing. There were plenty things in the game, even more if you explored it thoroughly, that hinted at what was actually going on.

It's a game about empathy; the decisions you make in the side quests in how you deal with people matters considerably more than the binary final choice.
>>
I loved it but I wished they could have fixed some things.
>Mirrors that worked
>Guns with different upgraded stats
>NPCs that don't talk over eachother.

That last one was a pain in the ass. I have conversations going at once in one area and two characters doing idle talk during a big event.

How's the story? Apparently the twist is lol it was just simulation or some shit like that, which sounds pretty shitty. Is it shitty or is it played well for once?

I'd say it's well played. The twist isn't so much a twist if you actually paid attention throughout the game, and it plays into the games themes very well.
>>

You need to bring him to safety when space snek knocks him unconscious, that is when I received and finished the quest of saving Alex.
>>
Where do I see if I killed any humans?
>>
>>376900281
Inventory with m+kb uses key bindings for eat, combine, etc instead of context menues which is definitely not suggesting it was designed for m+kb first. Also, the weapons wheel is pretty awkward with the mouse which is thankfully mitigated by 0-9 key bindings. I'd say it was meant for consoles, but the dev did a good job making it play nicely on PC.
>>
>>376903253
I did all these things.

>>376903321
No, and it is not necessary to have it. In fact you get more empathy points if you do the cook quest and kill him. He is the only human I killed.

>I don't buy games with DRM, sorry autist.
Because you are 2edgy4me anonymous hacktivist who's against the oppression of the system?

What's next for Arkane. I don't see them making a Dishonored 3 and Prey flopped sales-wise.

They have 2 studios with a total of 300 persons. They could make something really huge like a Elder Scroll or Fallout game as they belong to Zenimax and BGS is working on something else.
