to further elaborate on my gripes with the game from my experience, I think the circles enable camping, players knowing that there's 2+ mins before the gas is released and pushes players from their area enables camping, straight up. I get that they took the same approach as h1z1 but the games have different paces. I would be interested to see if they could implement something better, here's my idea of how they should do it, have a circle that has gas continually pushing towards a small safe area on the map, as time progresses in the match, the gas should increase in speed. you'd probably still get people camping, but they might feel more hurried to move to the safe zone. I honestly don't know how many matches I've played myself but I know for a fact I have never died in the bombing zone, and I have ran out in the open in the bomb zone plenty of times, I've come close to getting blown up but never actually have.

I usually hate survival games. I like PUBG because it cuts the usual bullshit away but keeps what I originally liked about the DayZ mod, like scavenging and unpredictable encounters. There's no crafting or thirst meters and the game forces you to stay on the move.

Its different for each game normally depending on how its coded. From the way the wall hacks turned green I would say that right now for the guns he was using the game is really only checking to see if direct line of sight is possible. The game probably in more or less real time keeps a list of who can see you and who you can see to speed up the game. From there its just telling the game that you "hit" then the game accepts that and pings the other player telling them they got hit and returns the confirmation back.

This game is dead in a month if they don't drop another, bigger, better optimization patch.

I've already stopped playing only a new map will bring me back. Its already to the point that just seeing where the airplane spawns you can tell exactly how it will go where people will drop where the final fight area will be just everything.

I like the Airdrop mechanic but I think it would be much better if people just randomly spawned where you couldn't know if people were behind you or in front of you. I don't normally buy in to any early access games, but this one looked really fun from the few twitch streams I saw.

Bought it and have not been disappointed. It's rough round the edges, and I'm not the best at it, but surviving to the top 10 really gets my blood pumping. I die, curse, but then queue up again because I had fun.

I've spent about 20hrs with it so far and not regretting the purchase.

That's actually why I like it. Each match feels different enough to warrant another play. You're not gunna spawn/drop into the same place or find the same weapons in the same spot every time.

As for doing nothing for 15 minutes, that's entirely based on your own play style. When I was first playing that was all i did but now i've started actively seeking out out players and am enjoying it more.
