Hi /v/ after playing games on a laptop for 4 years I decided it was time to buy a proper PC. Because I had a laptop I have no games that require good hardware to play so I'm looking for some to pick up.
Any recommendations?

Don't know. What's your budget?
>>376886225
what genres do you like? what are your favorite games? and don't fucking say anything...
>>376886264
Money isn't a problem. I dont have any expenses cause I live with parents.

Well my laptop was a shitbox so I could only play shit like risk of rain, momadora, nuclear throne, dustforce, FTL etc.

If you don't care about the 4k meme, get a 1080p monitor, a gtx 1070 and a 6th gen i7

No I used to play N64 with siblings when I was younger, stuff like mario kart and Donkey kong 64

Here's a bunch of titles from a bunch of genres:
Alan Wake (iirc you have until tomorrow to buy it, it'll be removed from steam etc due to licensing issues)
Alien Isolation
ArmA 3
Assassin's Creed games (they all follow the same formula, 2 is the most critically acclaimed, 4 has pirates and ships and all that)
Civilization games
Crysis 1, Warhead
Darksiders 1, 2
Dark Souls 1, 2, 3
DiRT Rally
Dishonored 1, (2 has severe performance issues but you should be fine at 1080p)
Divinity: Original Sin
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Elder Scrolls III, IV, V
Endless -games (Legend, Space, Dungeon etc)
Far Cry 1, 3
Final Fantasy games (most are on Steam)
Heroes of Might and Magic III, V
L.A. Noire
Metro 2033, Last Light (don't get redux versions, they're ass)
Mirror's Edge (the first game)
Redout
Portal 1, 2
SNOW/Steep
The Witcher 1, 2, 3
Total War games (Warhammer is the latest instalment)
WH40K Space Marine, Dawn of War games
Vanquish (pc port is getting released in a couple of weeks)
And there's always emulation.

You'll be A-OK with pretty much anything, HOWEVER you might want to consider getting another 8 Gigs of RAM, modern games can be quite taxing along with other stuff, it's quite cheap (depending on speeds ofc) and will certainly not be of harm.
>OP says money isn't a problem
>gets recommended a 1070 instead of a 1080Ti which is like 2x more powerful
never listen to /v/ for pc build advice
