>playing video game
>die a dumb, unexpected death
>last save was 45 minutes ago
How does /v/ deal with this? I usually just switch to another game or take a break altogether.

not die
savescumming
>>376886116
I just get over it because I'm not a child who gets mad at video games.
>>376886184
I'm pretty sure everybody has the right to get frustrated by losing almost an hour of progress in anything.
>>376886116
Depends on what game. If it's a game like Dark Souls, I might push forward and try to recover. If it's something like Skyrim or Witcher 3 I'll just stop playing for a while because trying to replay story quests is tedious and shitty
I quit, uninstall, and refund the game. Any modern game without regular autosaves is trash.
>>376886267
Okay nigger what if you aren't playing a modern game
>>376886116
Play a game with checkpoints then.
>>376886116
Realize I should have saved 40 minutes ago and probably save
>>376886184
you can tell this guy loses his shit the most
>>376886248
This, I can replay a couple tedious segments if they're easy enough, particularly after I figure out what I'm doing
Gamebryo 'autosaves when you enter a portal and nothing fucking else' is murder though, particularly when you consider how easy it is to get ambushed in the fucking wilderness
>playing Persona 3
>go up 30 floors in Tartarus
>power goes out and i lose 4 hours of progress
>never pick up the game again in 8 years
>>376886184
>video game board
>doesnt care id he loses
Stay casual my man
>>376886380
Stop projecting.
I usually drop the game. I still have never finished Skyrim because I lost like 4 hours due to the game being retarded and only have 1 quick save and 1 auto save slot. I guess it's my fault for not manually saving more often, but fuck that shit.
>>376886676
>muh projecting
>>376886626
Thank fuck 4 and 5 dealt with that shit. I actually want to replay 3 soon, but that terrifies me.
