You don't actually still play westcuck trash right? Because if you do that's kinda sad, lad.
Normalfags are finally getting sick of playing the same games over and over again with a different coat of paint, but the current industry hasn't realized it yet. It's why what's normal associated as weebshit is selling so well this year.

That's why it's up to us to step up to the plate, and take the mantle from these fags. Somehow, someway, we will make it

>Why games made by western devs are so fucking shit lately?
you mean the past 12 years?
few things come to mind:
>"casuals" became the new trend target audience.
>more normies were attracted to ""games"" via FB and mobile shit at the turn of decade.
>money-hungry publishers and lazy devs = streamlining and releasing these "bare minimum game products".
>when even casual normie fags started to smell the bullshit, they tried to re-introduce "oldschool" games and ideas, but instead of going all out, they just started dressing up modern cancer designs in oldschool costumes. Enter the numerous modern reboots.
>why release NEW games, when you can just re-release OLD games for a high price, on all new consoles? No backwards compatibility also means you either stick to your old machines, or buy the new HD remaster packs.
>And finally, the big one: internet connectivity of consoles, combined with "just patch it later!" -mentality = broken, even unfinished games are shipped.
Diversity hires and greedy publishers are ruining the art form. The diversity hires might git gud after a couple games but publishers making devs pump out half baked game with on disc dlc among other things are corrupting the industry. Can't wait til everyone hates EA, activision, etc so much they have to rebrand themselves

This is pretty well said but I think the main reason is the lack of vision a director can influence and what appeals to the Western audience in terms of critical acclaim. First of all directors in the West are more like leaders of the boardroom managing what focus groups tell them is an isn't working instead of one guy bringing his game together to make a singular vision. That's for critical acclaim, we have games like The Walking Dead and The Last of Us winning game of the year when neither had interesting gameplay. (The Last of Us was almost interesting but with the lack of compelling AI it really wasn't that special.) It seems obvious that in the west people care more about a mature sounding narrative than actual gameplay or unique ideas. Couple this with sjw and PC culture and what you get air disasters like Mass Effect Andromeda that tries to tell a story that they think caters to the entirety of the West when in reality it caters to reviewers and people who don't play games.

I'd say that west pretty much LACKS game directors altogether. Nowadays, the studios are too big, too business-oriented, clinic and "played safe". It's no wonder that the best and most influential games of all time have been mostly built by small teams, some literal "just a group of friends doing what they like"; it tends to give the end result much more soul.
I forgot to laugh 7 years from then.
