It's a lot more difficult to dodge the raptors because they're so fast, but they're both fixed camera angles, prerendered backgrounds, tank controls survival horror games. That being said, they're both really good games that deserve a playthrough.

Since you played 1 and 3, you should already know that the entire city is owned by Umbrella, propped up for their BoW labs in and around it. Over the course of RE2, you learn that the chief of police was directly employed by them probably just to hush up stories about their experiments screwing up.

So how good are the RE Outbreak games without online play?

Dino Crisis took the puzzely, item management stuff from RE and shot it into space. Its possible to completely fuck yourself multiple times.

The second Dino Crisis is kind of like RE 3 Mercs mode but spun out into an entire game about shooting loads of dinos, its fucking great and ends on a cliff hanger that never got resolved.

Dino Crisis 3 did not happen.

Try Resident Evil: Dead aim OP, it gets a bad rap but is short, ambient and can really be spooky as fuck on a dark ship out at sea with nothing but the night wind, groaning boat steel and top-tier zombie moans in the distant.

It also has some of the very best unusual, ambient music, best save theme and possibly one of the best intros ever made. Please take a look and listen:

Well lads, am I glad to see another Resident Evil/Dino Crisis thread.

While the the general gist of DC is the same as a RE, it has a lot of particularities. QTE, choices, item fusion, raptors smashing certain doors to get to you, only three weapons, a respawn mechanic and then some.

Definetely worth a playthrough if you enjoy the tank control pre-rendered background survival horror genre. Did everyone hate DC3 that much?

It was weirdly disconnected with the past 2 games, when everyone waited for a resolution for DC2. Other than that it's an enjoyable game.
