It's pretty good. It would probably be looked at a lot more sympathetically if the first few hours didn't give a taste of some truly excellent ideas only to take them absolutely nowhere and get progressively more humdrum with each proceeding chapter. That said, it's not like it gets actually bad; it just doesn't live up to the potential it sets itself up for when it's starting out.

Gets better with every playthrough. I outright didn't really like it after I first finished it, because it does a shit job of explaining its systems/moves, but once you get past that part of it, it is faaaantastic.

It's a really fun, over the top hack n' slash. Just don't think about it as a canon MGS, the game pretty much makes fun of itself and nobody should take it seriously.

Or at least less clumsy in handling/portraying it's chosen themes. MGSV was a disgrace as far as art goes, which makes it all the more sad because Kojima tried SO HARD.
