Echoes comes out this month and rpgmaker 3ds comes out 4 days after this.

Might push this to an Autumn buy. I like the artstyle and gamexplains gameplay video didnt look terribly dull...but I dont get the point of the Oasis if theres no online features a la Animal Crossing

It looks and plays nothing like a mana game, especially the combat.

Looks like it could have some fun parts and I'm a sucker for the art style but I'm extremely worried about having to drag around 2 AI partners all the time.
In the Nintendo direct or whatever it was where they showed off gameplay the AI was ridiculously dumb and did almost nothing to help the player, they would just attack once or twice and then stand there to get killed by the enemy. Then they also said that bringing along partners was important, since specific partners would be needed for certain puzzles/obstacles.

Suicidal AI + Necessary AI partners is not a good combo. Either they need to make the AI good or at the very least make it so your AI partners can't take damage or something so you don't have to worry about them killing themselves all the time.

Oh really? That's good to hear then. I didn't see the most recent footage so they probably added that in at some point. The first time they showed off the game the AI took damage and was pretty much trying to kill itself all the time.

Never mind looked it up again and it seem like AI does take damage. Guess here's hoping it doesn't actually kill them or there's way around it.

I'm not expecting a return to Mana, but hopefully it will be a good game regardless.
