The confusing level design makes it good.
I never played the original Prey, so I didn't really care about Prey 2, so it's not skin off my back either.
5 weapons is alright, since they're all pretty enjoyable.
The story is kinda bad. I'll agree with you on that.
The crafting fits. I don't see why people hate crafting in games.

What's wrong with Dark Souls?
Why is it the popular opinion to hate Dark Souls all the sudden? It's my favorite game of all time. It has some flaws, but it's still a great game.

Dark Souls III is the one I don't enjoy too much, but the rest of the series is great.

It's got looping level design, it doesn't have much in the way of tutorials, it's hard, punishing, and the story isn't presented up front.

It's honestly the most any game has reminded me of Dark Souls since I first played Dark Souls in 2013

I think the most hate comes from the original Prey 2 studios getting cucked, then having their game in name-only turned into something else entirely.

Prey 2 still looks fucking amazing. Dated for this time period, but the concept is sick.

I laughed, you have to be trolling, but I'll at least respond to your weapon comment: you're on a research space station, why would you have access to any weapons? Low velocity rounds like that from a silenced pistol or a shutgun make by far the most sense in an environment where you have to be cautious about puncturing the hull, SMGs technically could also be utilized and they kind of are in the form of turrets.

Forget about anything explosive, the Q-Beam kind of makes sense because it was an experimental weapon they were designing before shit went tits up.
