Rannoch's not bad if your goal is to correctly make Quarians the dominant force in the Veil, but the absolute worst parts of ME3 are the Cerberus attack on the Citadel, Thessia (Javik's bantz with Liara are good though), and everything after, which is actually more than half of the game itself. A lot of it is flavor text and expanded lore, with an emphasis on exploring new planets and forgotten important planets from ME1 and ME2, most of which get you war effort stuff like tech and fleet/army enhancements with an in-game explanation on what it's doing for the cause, with a handful of random encounters and new missions, although a lot of them involve finding a planet and scanning it

You also get to trick the Normandy out a lot more, and can create specialized weapon bays, vehicle storage with different vehicles to load into it, kitchen menu customization, and a lot of other cosmetic stuff that mostly just makes the Normandy feel less lifeless, but there's also useful shit, like letting you use the Spectre terminal inside the ship, or giving you a firing range, meaning you don't have to backtrack to the Citadel to do that stuff

Important stuff like the Fifth Fleet and other major racial fleets have their own locations and functions, so it helps with the immersion more than anything, making it seem like there's an actual war happening. I'm currently at Sanctuary, and have yet to encounter any bugs
