The atmosphere and it has the fights against Kalameet and Manus, which are both pretty up there in terms of my favorite boss fights.

The Ring City is very disgusting at times (mainly the swamp areas, stealth sections and linearity of it). I had more fun with the DS2 dlc desu.

The Old Hunters is better because Laurence is also a god tier boss, so it has 4 god tier bosses over TRC's 3 god tier bosses, also, the 5th TOH boss, Living Failures, wasn't an impressive boss, but it was a hugely important LORE and STORY telling boss. The Zones and level design in TOH are also slightly better. TOH will never be bested bro.

Am I the only one that thinks the Ringed City areas sucked dick? It was also short and ended abruptly. If it wasn't relatively difficult I feel like people would feel pretty similarly about it to how they do about Ashes. I actually like Ashes more, apart from maybe bosses. Even then, I don't think Midir or Demon Prince are very fun fights, so it's basically Friede v Gael for my affections there. I might have to say Gael is better just because Blackflame Friede is like Abyss Watchers where you can't really weave through their combos, so you just end up backing off until they're finished, which is honestly a horrible way to fight

Well yeah, I think they're equal now that you mention it. DS3 has better gameplay and weapons in my book so thats why I place it first. A crippling flaw the bosses in 1 have is that they have way too little health, and if you gimp yourself so the fights last longer, their movesets really aren't that big to keep it interesting.

Ds3's 2 dlc combined is equal to or better than old hunters. Dont hate me.
