I'd advise reading Dead Men Walking.

Sole reason IG regiments or even space marine chapters can hold their own is because the necron tomb world takes a while to awaken. Long enough for them to pre-emptively evacuate or infiltrate the necron tomb complex and sabotage core machinery.

Awakened tomb worlds aren't merely death traps they become staging grounds for nigh-unstoppablew armies. Maybe I'm nor up to date on the fluff but I haven't heard of any victories against fully awakened dinasties, only against scouting and vanguard forces.

W40k power levels are only memes when they're compared to their own setting.

Take them out and throw them into other settings with their own rules and things change. OP said Necrons are entering other games... not that the two settings are duking it out.

By those rules, even Dante and Bayonetta could handle a Necron invasion. Hell, they already do that much in their own games fighting literal divine beings.
