You'll need to play through the game at least twice so expect to be playing for at least 150 hours.

Trickiest (or most annoying) trophies are Passionate Listener (listen to 250 individual lines of Futaba's navigation dialogue), and the one where you save a team mate from a hostage situation (this only happened to me ONCE in 150 hours). Beating the twins and the Reaper is easy (flu season), and with the bookworm and golden fingers trophies, make an extra save file then spend a couple of weeks reading and playing video games until you get the trophies, then jusy reload your previous save. This will save at least a week or two.

Got my NieR: Automata Platinum last month, currently working on Peace Walker.

I was fighting the last boss on NG+, had every trophy except passionate listener, was pretty bummed out that I'd have to load an earlier save to grind for it. Then the trophy popped up in the middle of the fight, followed directly by the plat. Jizzed so hard.

I also made the mistake of grinding the reaper to level 99 as soon as flu season in November hit, meaning I was steamrolling the game from that point on getting barely any lines from Futaba.

Last game I got Platinum was Life is Strange. The hardest Platinum Trophy I got was from Far Cry 3. And so far, there isn't really a game I look out for getting Platinum, since they seem too time consuming. Currently playing Persona 5 and considered of getting all Trophies, but since it would require at least two playthroughs it isn't option anymore - these long ass story bits, loads of text boxes are fucking insane.

Only ones I have out of that are Gat out of hell and PASBR. Gat Out of Hell is pretty much just beating all the ingame challenges which consist of getting collectables, beating missions and getting kills with weapons and powers. It's pretty easy if a little repetitive, although there are a few trophies you can miss, so look up a guide. The most annoying trophy was "play online coop for 2/3 (can't remember) hours". I would launch it up and let you sit in my game but I only have it on Plus and I'm not buying that again until some decent free games come out.

PASBR was easy with with most of the trophies being beat arcade mode with every character, however there are trophies for matchmade online where you have to get a double kill in 2v2 and a triple kill in FFA match. Depending on how dead the online is this could be hard.

Persona 5 ps4 took me 200+ hours really done with the game.

Most recent play was Yakuza 0, took me nearly 200 hours.

Last one was original Nier, I'm happy I got really lucky with upgrade materials and didn't have to farm for them almost at all, Forlorn neglaces and Subdued bracelets all came within hour.
I'm waiting for Nioh to arrive from post, if I like it enough, I might collect every trophy from it. Anyone platinumed it from here? Is it hard or long process?

I went on a bit of a platinum binge over the past three years, I might take a break from it now but I still want to do random PS3 games just to have them done once and for all, Sengoku Basara is always in my head since I think I'm at 50 percent but the rest is kind of a big time investment.

Also have a bunch of random Plus games including all the Tim Schafer stuff they threw on there to work at

Demons Souls is the only Souls game I have left to platinum but since all there is to do in that is some world tendency shit for random rings and grinding for dupe materials it's not a huge priority for me

Castle Oblivion, immediately start of with Lexaeus and spam sleights until you hit Dark Riku and then it's your choice for sleight spam or normal combos to try and trigger Warp. Even checkers has its limits, when you promote you still have to follow a "Move one space in any direction" rule. In shogi it's like you move double any spaces you want if you promote at all which isn't that hard to do. I think the major problem is trying to figure out what in the hell the Kanji mean on any of the pieces without hovering over them to check their moves every single time, it makes trying to figure out possible plays a nightmare. I've tried to play shogi legit but remembering the pieces is just ridiculous coupled with the 12 or so pieces that can be out and then all their promotions as well. It's just too much, especially when you're just barely passable in chess.

At least Mahjong is just basically a slightly more complicated casino game, it's nothing that bad, same deal with any of the main gambling hall games. Cee-lo I think it was called is just Baccarat with two special card pairs (9-1 and 4-1).

i tried doing all of the shogi challenges in yakuza 4 and only got about 3 or 4 deep
the last one i tried dozens of times, the opponent didn't have a bunch of the "guard" pieces but still managed to block every move i wanted to make with just their bishop, rook and pawns as backup
knocking out their bishop or rook usually meant sacrificing one of my own, which would be put back on the board behind my defenses and promoted
in the rare cases when i got to check their king, they would jam my attacking pieces up with whatever they had left in the captured stack

I have only played Yakuza 0 by way of comparison but that took me 198 hours across 2 playthroughs to beat. I took my time just soaking everything up in my first playthrough and there is some idle time padding, but it was still a big game

How did you manage to plat all those other Yakuza games so quickly? Do you marathon these games when going for plat or are they comparatively less difficult/time consuming?

Even so you still have to do all of Hostess Maker which just drags on and on and that might put some people off. Each girl is like two to three hours of menuing and very very slowly walking around as Akiyama, it's close to The Marietta managing from Y2 in terms of tedium and boredom. You also have to replay the game two extra times to either unlock or beat Ex-Hard and also beat normal without dying which each take about 4-6 hours even if you have the War God stuff and have the Golden Gun. Memo Master can also be a pain in the ass if you aren't thorough, and Seven Pairs is entirely up to luck which is also a nightmare for people who don't know how to play Mahjong.

It's probably the easiest, but it's still really long.

80ish hours with the only tough parts being -5 on golf, pool (You NEED a ruler or you're not going to beat that expert AI, same applied for 4), and expert baseball (Which also returns in 4 but it's hilariously easy despite being the exact same board). Y4 took 114 but I went full 100% in that game, not just plat. Y4 would be like 70-80 hours if I didn't. Y2 took longer due to all the missable everything and you have to get almost everything from everywhere.

Y0 has the most content by far and therefore has way more minigames you need to do and side stuff to complete. Y1 and Y2 are guide games, if you don't follow some for locker keys, heat actions, and substories you aren't getting to fight Amon at all or do nearly half the things possible in the game. In 1 you can completely lock yourself out of tons of things accidentally like the casino and further substories just by answering things incorrectly. It wasn't until 4 where things stopped being missable. Y1 took me like 40ish hours to 100% while 2 took about 80ish but I ignored the Shogi, Mahjong, and Pro Slotter substories because they're absolutely insane to manage. 3, despite all its reputation, wasn't that bad, and it took around 80-90 hours for my 100% run. 4 was about 114 hours with 10 of those being the two replays and I went out of my way to completely 100% the game, not just get the platinum.

I also nearly 100% Kenzan (Ignored the minigames because they have absurd requirements and I loathe the frog race and kakashi stuff) which I would argue is the hardest one of them all that I played and even that only took around 100ish hours.

Use the Tempest swords. They trivialize everything, I haven't done the DLC but Momohime's boss is far harder than Kisuke's and not because of the boss itself, but because of the falling rocks. Even the ultimate challenge isn't that bad on Fury thanks to the hurricane spam you can do.

4 took me about 140 hours and that was just going for the platinum. We talked about golf briefly in a different thread a few days back. Still slowly working on that shit in 3. I beat all the ones in 4 in under two hours, the boat one on the second try because I messed up ramming him the first time.
I remember beating all the ones in 3 with no trouble a couple hours after I unlocked them. Just remember to Tiger Drop everyone since that bypasses all guards and always use weapons if you can since they usually expect you to. I believe there's a Super Mack chase (Though I might be confusing this with 4) that might give you trouble, but other than that nothing really sticks out except the boss rush for Ultimate 5 that I think ended with Komaki, just like 4, except 4 was far easier.

Don't have it yet, what you see there is all I own (Including Kenzan which didn't have trophies) and I just ordered Dead Souls yesterday so that's going to be fun since I'm going for 100% on Dead Souls difficulty and breezing through normal instead. I'm expecting it to take like 120-150ish though from all I've seen.

Titanfall 2 drives me nuts. I did everything in this fucking game but I just can't get that parkour trophy, Becomes the Master.

I watched every video, I tried hundreds of times, but I just lack the skills to do it.
And it's the only trophy missing.

Word of advice, make sure you kill the crystal lizards in 3-2 and 3-3 and I think it was 4-2 and 4-3 for Darkmoon before you NG+, Pure Darkmoon / Moonlight stones are a pain in the ass to come by and while the Pure Bladestone is a complete pain in the ass you really don't want to spend hours going into a NG+ farming crystal lizards over and over again.

Don't worry too too much about WT. You only need to really worry about it for Mephistopheles' nonsense and 4-1 if I remember right. But yeah, without duping you're looking at 4 maybe 5 NG+ depending on how lucky you are with drops. 4 is the normal amount though since you need five certain boss souls for trades to Freke I believe it was.
