There is no magic in fasting. If you want to lose weight, you "simply" have to eat less calories daily than your basal metabolic rate. You can fast or you can eat food throughout the whole day, it doesn't matter as long as you don't go above your calorie intake limit. Fasting for 48 hours and then pigging out on 3k calories worth of carb rich trash food is not going to make you magically lose weight.

The best way to lose weight if you're sitting on your ass and don't do any intense exercise is by going on a low carb, high fat diet (yes, high fat, because it's literally impossible to go on a proper low carb diet and not have it high fat, since you will be able to eat only so much protein). This is scientifically proven to be THE best diet for fast weight loss, at least when you're not exercising. No other diet even compares. It works because decreasing your intake of carbs reduces your insulin spikes throughout the day and this has an effect of drastically curbing your hunger (yes, I know insulin is not a hunger hormone, but insulin is related to ghrelin and these two hormones "interact" with each other by, for example, ghrelin influencing insulin secretion and receptor signaling), as you will no longer suffer from things called carb cravings once you adjust to the diet. Such a diet naturally curbs your hunger levels, so eat to naturally eat less and consume less calories, so you lose weight.

Well I've gone 102kg to 94.6kg (7.4kg) in 10 weeks just by counting calories and it took way less effort than I thought.

I don't eat fast food nor drink juice or soft drink and log my intake like an autist. I'm expecting to do this shit for another half to 3/4 year until I get to the weight I'm happy with. I'm reasonably sure that I'll keep the good eating habit since I'll be doing this for so long.

Its been 3 months now and its going rather well

I think if you're well and truly a fatass then making a few simple lifestyle changes will be just as effective as counting calories up to a certain point. The human body was not designed to exist at 300+ pounds; you need to have an exceptionally large calorie intake just to maintain that. If you just cut out outright junk food, restrict yourself to 3 meals a day, and maybe take a walk every now and then, then you'll lose weight. Chances are you'll plateau out still fat but having lost a decent amount of weight, and I think that's a more feasible approach for a true fatass than going cold turkey.

its not rocket science dude. calculate your bmr and activity level, learn how many calories you need to simply stay alive doing nothing. stay 500 or more calories below that number everyday and do basic exercise and you will lose.

I can vouch for intermittent fasting. I went from 207lbs to 145lbs at 5'11" in about 8 months-- July of 2015 to February 2016. Counting calories is all it took. Fat fuck doesn't stick to the diet in the least, wife can't say no to him. Fat fucks father refinances his house to pay for medical transport to Houston. Gets weighed for the first time in years and is at 735 lbs. Doctor calls him out on not following diet plan, mental gymnastics ensue, doctor doesn't take their shit and says get below 600lbs or theres nothing I can do for you, surgery would be too dangerous at that higher weight.

Fat fuck gets put on 1000 calorie/day diet to lose weight. Does not stick to it, wife does not take charge and continues to enable him. Tells doctor they're sticking to the diet. Couple months go by, fat fuck gets weighed again- has actually GAINED WEIGHT. 150 pounds heavier, weighs over 850 lbs now. Queue heart attack.

Doctor is fed up with their shit, gives them an 800 cal/day diet and says if he doesn't lose the weight he won't help him. Month goes by, gets weighed again- gained six pounds. Doctor washes his hands of the situation.

I think the problem with fat people is that all it takes for them to break down is like one day of cheating. Somewhere along the line they say "today is ok" and then they feel bad and stop trusting themselves and shortly after they stop giving a fuck and are back to eating whatever they want.

I've lost 180 lbs. I was like 5'9 298 lbs and just got sick of not being able to talk to girls or go outside without feeling like a fucking blob. I got myself a shitty little stationary bike, got down to like 200lbs and felt like that was "normal" enough to get myself into a gym to get started on a real program. I did starting strength while I kept cutting and eventually got myself to like 150lbs, stayed there's for like a year as a way to clear up loose skin and as a testament to myself to show myself that I wouldn't balloon back up. I'm 180 now at like 12-15% bf and my life is completely different. I don't even feel like the same guy mentally, I have so much confidence and I genuibely always feel like I'm in a good mood.

Simple salt and pepper. Try rosemary, or baking the chicken with lemon juice. For the rice try using chicken stock in place of water, just be mindful of how much stock you're using and how much sodium/fat that may potentially add in.

Avoid marinades and sauces, they tend to have a lot of sugar in them, either naturally or added in.

And for veggies, try roasting them as opposed to eating them raw or steaming them, it gives them a better flavor and texture.

Still it's too hardcore for most fat people since they usually lack willpower; just counting calories and cutting down on calorie consumption is usually a more sensible option.
I unfortunately gained 5 kilos since last summer, so a little over month ago I limited myself to a 1000 calories per day while eating close to no carbs to achieve ketosis. I've also done daily weight training and actually managed to gain quite a decent amount of muscles even at a calorie deficit.

If you want a nice and healthy side dish for it you could make couscous salad. Boil up some couscous, let it cool off, add cucumber, corn, tomato, lime zest, lime juice, some olive oil, salt, pepper, and some parsley.

Both these things are incredibly easy to make and takes about 15-20 minutes. Good luck.

Not him, but that's way too much effort for me. I just buy a chicken breast, boil it in a pot for 50 minutes, then add pre-steamed fast brown rice into the same pot and cook everything for 10 minutes more. In the end, I get a good source of lean protein from the chicken and a good source of complex carbs from the brown rice. Then I just eat a brick of cheese to get my fats and call it a day.

Being a simple man of simple tastes pays off.

Fat soluble micronutrients are stored in the body and some nutrients can last you up to a a few years (b12). But there are also water soluble vitamins which aren't stored at all and need to be absorbed daily through the food you consume.

Of course a few days of certain micronutrient deficiencies would most likely cause no harm, given you meet the RDA for the rest of the year. But one month is a long time which might lead to organ changes (iodine deficiency for example can lead to goiter).

Intermittent fasting is the only method to avoid this. As you only fast for less than a day and can replenish your RDAs without waiting a month.

Weight loss is not difficult. Read the fucking packet, look at the ACTUAL portion size, not the assumed one, buy some scales so you actually know what 100g of food looks like. Measure it out, set a limit on your daily calories, and stick to it. 1500 a day is a good starting point, if you've got a little more willpower you can go down to 1200.

I used DNP a lot, asked me anything.

As long as you stay at about 250mg, you'll be fine. 500 mg is the max anyone can normally go.

If you go above 1 gram, you will literally die but ironically enough it's the safest weight loss drug out there as long as you keep it under recommended dosage. At 500 mg a day, you'll lose 2 lbs a day. In 30 days you can expect to lose about 60 lbs.

Doctor here, it's ultimately personal choice. Not eating will not kill you, assuming you have adequate fat reserves & assuming you have sufficient micronutrients. The risk comes from refeeding syndrome i.e. electrolyte disturbances that occur once normal eating is resumed due to the rapid fluctuation in homeostatic mechanisms that govern metabolism. The biggest risk is from potassium depletion.

That said, with adequate micronutrient replenishment even an extremely prolonged fast is feasible, I recall the longest medically supervised fast was in the region of 400 days in a severely obese glaswegian man. However, fasting for several weeks without medical supervision carries a theoretical risk for the aforementioned reasons.

I would recommend fasting intermittently for weight loss. Either fasting on alternate days, or fasting 16-20 hours daily with normal meals in between. The weight loss will still be rapid & it removes the need for biochemical monitoring.

Just a reminder: Your likes/dislikes are completely changeable. For example you only like the soda because you got used to it after consuming it regularly for a long time. Had you read the article, you would have known that the entire study is pretty much just a waste of air. It put people on 140g of carbs daily. That's good carb reduction, but it's not really low.

Then, the article itself says that low carb diets are predicted to be just as efficient at losing weight:
