Personally I mostly have problems with burst blood vessels in my eyes. Happens all the time anyway but much more common when I play a lot of vidya. There's always deep red blotches in the whites.

Also twitchy reflex isn't about eye sight its about motion tracking. If you want to have better aim in an FPS, don't aim. Just fire on instinct.

You could just be getting old. I was never great at twitch shooters, but I just haven't been able to play them for the last two years. My eyes and hands just react slower than they used to, and it's pretty fucking noticeable.
