Maybe I should clarify: I don't hate them on a personal level, I think they're badly written characters. To call them one-dimensional would be an understatement. The fact that they all had sub-50 IQs sure didn't help either. There was never anything going on behind their eyes. I felt like a was being spoken down to by the writers throughout the entire game.

You'd have to be some kind of amnesiac with no attachment to life on earth to like her, which is probably why you play as one. Her entire involvement with the Earthlife Conservation Program like lying to everyone about their bodies and just storing their brains digitally so they can print new bodies later rubs me the wrong way, and she clearly doesn't understand why people would take issue with it. Lao's an asshole but I feel like a lot of people in that situation would feel the same way.

Mind you, I like that because it's an interesting set-up; someone with arguably noble intentions doing questionable shit because the ends justify the means. In an older Xeno game these questions would be front and center in the plot, but this is Blade so just have a meathead raise the question and have Colonel Hardass dismiss it instead.
